Elliptical Trainer

Elliptical trainers offer a non-impact cardiovascular workout and are a source of weight bearing exercise.  They majority of elliptical trainer's will work the upper and lower bodies ( although a more basic machine will not have the upper body function) and are primarily moved by the legs.

You hold the handles and push or pull while shuffling your feet back and forth. It is often compared to a treadmill in its action of leg muscles.

It is suggested that because of the dual action workout it can be more efficient in burning calories then other cardiovasular workouts.
